How to keep your New Year’s Resolution: 5 Steps

Let’s face it, we’ve all got new years resolutions that we’ve failed to keep for one reason or another. This year we’ve got your back, we’ve compiled some surefire ways to help keep you on track with your resolutions!

  1. Less is More

Keep it simple, don’t overburden yourself with too many goals as these can begin to look too daunting for you to accomplish. It’s better to have just a few really important ones or even just one main goal to work towards.

  1. Be Realistic

Set goals for yourself that are attainable. Unless you’re a gifted genius, it’s not likely that you’re going to simply be able to pick up a guitar and start rocking out after a few tries. Set a realistic bar for your progress and work towards that.

  1. Choose Wisely

Prioritize your potential resolutions and weigh them carefully. Think about which one(s) would have the biggest positive impact on your life if you were to keep them. This would help you decide what’s important and what’s just a passing fancy.

  1. Don’t do it alone if you can help it

Having a buddy that’s making the same resolution is a great way to stay on track. You can support each other in your darkest hours when you feel like you may give up.

  1. Set a time frame

Write down a definite date that you want to accomplish your goal by, this makes it easier to track your progress and will let you know if you are on course to do it or if you need to increase your efforts.
